Carbon dioxide is a molecule made of two oxygen atoms and one carbon atom. It’s named “carbon dioxide” because “di” is the prefix for “two.” Carbon dioxide basically means carbon-two-oxygen.
In carbon dioxide, the oxygen atoms bond to the carbon atom on either side. Carbon dioxide is usually present as a gas. Humans breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide.
Corbin Bleu is an American actor most famous for his role as Chad, star basketball player and Troy Bolton’s best friend in the High School Musical movie franchise. He also starred in kid-friendly hits “Jump In!” and “The Revolution Generation.”
The molecule for carbon dioxide can be depicted as one big, circular carbon atom with two smaller, circular oxygen atoms on each side. I think it resembles Corbin Bleu holding two basketballs. What do you think??
